The City of Hallandale Beach is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of the community in a fiscally responsible manner by providing superior services that meet the needs of our community as well as plan for their future needs through continued communication.

Hallandale Beach is conveniently located between Fort Lauderdale and Miami, next to Aventura with access to the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood and Miami International airports, Port Everglades, Port of Miami, and I-95.

Hallandale Beach is a community of 37,113 year-round residents, according to the 2010 census. It is a full-service City with its own Police and Fire/Rescue departments. Our city is proud of each of our employees who help create a welcoming community here in #OurHB.

The City of Hallandale Beach believes its employees to be its most valuable asset. That's why we offer a competitive salary and benefits package including training, educational assistance, annual performance appraisals, and a merit program. Most benefit packages for full-time employees include the following:

Health Insurance

The City offers single, double, and family coverage. Depending on the coverage you choose, the City pays 100% of the cost for the employee’s coverage and 70% of the employee’s dependents portion. All employees are eligible for health insurance on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Dental Insurance

The City offers two dental plans through Aetna Dental Insurance Company. Rates for each of these plans vary.

Vision Insurance

The City offers vision insurance coverage through Aetna Vision.

The City offers eleven annual paid holidays, including:

Vacation

Employees are eligible for vacation after the third monthly anniversary of employment. All full-time employees accrue a minimum of 104 hours of vacation per year for the first five years of service, with additional vacation time granted thereafter.

Sick Leave

All full-time employees accrue eight (8) hours of sick leave per month, beginning on the first day of employment.
