    Denver Animal Protection (DAP) is home to more than 8,000 lost and abandoned pets each year. Denver Animal Shelter (DAS) is an open-admission municipal shelter that provides animal care services for all of Denver County. DAP is committed to providing humane care to companion animals; adopting pets to loving homes; and proactively educating the public about animals, their needs, and DAP’s critical role as a community resource.
