TaLK Program (Korean Education Center in New York)
Thanks to the efforts of overseas Koreans and Korean Americans, Korea has risen as a world's 9th-largest economy in the world with more than $1 trillion foreign-exchange reserves and trade surpluses. As Korean stars heat the cultural market throughout the world, our country is increasing its global presence. It is true that one needs to set up his or her own national identity to live a successful and satisfactory life.
That explains why it is so important to accept the responsibility of teaching the origin of our mother country to our descents living in foreign countries.
Korean Education Center in New York (KECNY) is an organization established by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Korea to support education-related issues of overseas Koreans who live in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Delaware.KECNY takes this responsibility seriously and will continue its duty of supporting overseas Koreans through education matters. We are responsible for educational exchange and cooperation between Korea and USA. We will also make our best efforts to do its bridge role between two nations.Best regards,
