  • About Us

Montgomery County MRC was established in September 2010. As a part of Montgomery County Hospital District’s Public Health Department, the MRC unit provides surge capacity in local disasters including assistance in mass prophylaxis and vaccination clinics or other major public health needs. The unit works closely with the Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management, CERT, United Way and other County resources to develop coordinated responses to disasters. The purpose of our unit is to supplement the community’s existing emergency medical response capabilities and public health infrastructure. The Medical Reserve Corps’ mission is to organize and utilize medical and non-medical volunteers to strengthen Montgomery County’s public health, emergency response and community resiliency.
