GRAND LEDGE, MI, April 10, 2018 - The City of Grand Ledge and its Parks and Recreation Commission is looking for volunteers to assist with an Earth Day Clean Up at Oak Park. The volunteer event will occur between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM on Sunday, April 22, 2018. With nearly 9 acres at Oak Park, volunteers can assist with general park clean up, laying down mulch, and helping to create a rustic footpath through the wooded area on the park’s southern end, recently acquired in partnership with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Trust Fund.

Volunteers should arrive with comfortable clothes, work gloves, and close-toed shoes that are likely to get a bit dirty. If volunteers are able they can bring their own rakes, 5-gallon buckets, and wheelbarrows.
