Texas A&M-Commerce Outdoor Adventure
PO Box 3011
The Outdoor Adventure (OA) program with the MRC exists to assist Texas A&M University-Commerce students, faculty, staff and general community members in developing active lifestyles via the outdoors. Sometimes a trip or activity can seem daunting or intimidating, but our program and staff want to make the outdoors more accessible for everyone.
Have you wanted to take a step into the outdoors? We’ve got what you need to make that step easier. Whether you are a novice looking for some instruction or an avid enthusiast looking for gear, the MRC Outdoor Adventure (OA) program is the right place to turn to. Our Gear Center rents and sells almost all necessary gear for short day trips to longer expeditions, as well as a knowledgeable staff to help you plan your next outing. If you’re more of a beginner and aren’t sure how to paddle a canoe or tie in to a climbing rope, our trips and clinics can give you the knowledge and practice to confidently venture out on your own. We also have a 45’ climbing wall at the rec for another way to stay active; come by our indoor climbing facility and give rock climbing a shot!
Whether you want guidance, instruction, or just a bit of a thrill, we can help you get it. Let us know if we can help you get into the outdoors.
