About Us

AmeriCorps Access JobLink program was developed through a grant awarded by the North Carolina Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service to Capital Area Workforce Development Board. In partnership with local JobLink Career Centers and Wake County Health and Human services, Access JobLink AmeriCorps engages individuals in meaningful service opportunities focusing on persons with disabilities and/or significant barriers to employment (former-offenders, at-risk youth, older workers and the homeless). The objective of Access JobLink is to provide job search assistance for persons with disabilities, and/or barriers to employment, increase community awareness and education in order to connect them to employment-related resources, community services, and to educate the community about the available JobLink resources and services within Wake and Johnston Counties.
