  • About Us

Advocating for the child's best interest is our only interest.

The Florida Guardian ad Litem (GAL) program needs volunteers to serve as court-appointed child advocates for children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse or neglect. While in foster care, the GAL child advocate provides emotional support, encouragement, and makes recommendations to the court that are in the child’s best interest. Required orientation includes on-line and in-person training, court observation, and paired mentoring with a seasoned volunteer.
