    The mission of the DC Superior Court Volunteer Advocate Program is to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live their lives to the fullest. The ultimate goal of the Mental Habilitation Volunteer Advocate Program is to  enhance our client's quality of life by acting as a liaison between the court and the community.  The Program's mission is to also promote individual advocacy and to provide effective monitoring of the services our clients receive and should receive.
