    PAQE is a program that offers instructional courses to parents and guardians of students in the Baltimore City Public Schools. The classes will be held at the school site.

    Our Vision: Parent Academy for Quality Education (PAQE) establishes open and collaborative communication between parents, students, and staff members to promote high academic achievement for all children in the Baltimore City Public Schools.

    Mission Statement: Parent Academy for Quality Education will equip parents/guardians with the knowledge, skills and confidence to become powerful advocates to support their children’s pursuit of their academic passions.

    Courses are available for: Elementary School, Middle School and High School

    ·        Elementary School Topics: “Common Core Standards”, “Preparing for Teacher Conferences”, “Collaboration between Home, School, and Community”, “Positive Discipline with Academic Achievement”, and Becoming Familiar with College”

    ·        Middle School Topics: “Supporting the Academic Achievement of Adolescents”, Academic Success and Positive Self-Esteem”, “Motivating Teenagers to Read”, “Key Academic Concepts”, Overcoming Obstacles to Academic Success” and “Preparing to Meet the University Admission Requirements”

    ·        High School Topics: “Understanding the High School System”, “Identifying the MD High School Requirements”, “Importance of Grade Point Average”, “Higher Education Options”, and “Identifying the Different Financial Aid Options”
