Our ultimate goal is to ensure that every child - African American, Asian, white - in every school is on track at every stage in his or her CPS career to graduate prepared for success in post-secondary education and employment. To reach that goal, we need to continue to focus on our work on five related priorities:
1. Providing excellent instruction
2. Attracting and developing talented people
3. Expanding options and opportunities for all students
4. Managing performance
5. Aligning resources with priorities.
Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is the third largest school district in the United States. CPS serves over 400K students 86% of which come from low-income families.
