  • Mission

    Provide Alternative Dispute Resolution services and promote resolution of disputes prior to, during, and in lieu of litigation to residents within El Paso County.

    About Us

    The El Paso Dispute Resolution Center is seeking volunteers who would like to become Trained Mediators and assist El Paso residents to help mediate their disputes.

    Who makes a good mediator?

    -Strong "people skills"

    -Able to be directive

    -Comfortable with high emotion, argument, interruptions, tears

    -Respected and trusted

    -Imaginative in solving problems

    -Patient as disputants inch their way to towards resolution

    -Able to empathize and be gentle, to withhold judgment

    -Impartial: putting aside one's own options, reactions, and even some principles
