BE THE GREATER GOOD NCCC & FEMA Corps This national federal service program is dedicated to building young leaders, serving disadvantaged communities, teaching job skills, and providing opportunities to earn money for education. Additionally, a high school diploma or GED is not required to participate in AmeriCorps, making it an excellent option for students that have dropped out of school. AmeriCorps works to meet the needs of each individual in terms of education and training, including those with low reading and math skills. Accommodations are provided for those with disabilities as well.

NCCC Corps Members- for those ages 18 to 24. A 10 month full-time program. Living allowance plus the educational award. Program can be repeated. Participants can earn 6 college credit hours from AmeriCorps.

FEMA Corps Members- for those ages 18 to 24. A 10 month full-time program. Living allowance plus the educational award. Program can be repeated. Disaster Response Focus. Participants can earn 6 college credit hours from AmeriCorps.

NCCC & FEMA Corps Team Leaders- ideal for age 21 and older, college students. Living allowance plus the educational award. Participants can earn 9 college credit hours from AmeriCorps.
