    The Parks and Recreation Department strives to enhance the quality of life for the residents and visitors of Swansboro, North Carolina through quality parks, recreation programs and opportunities; promoting diverse, inclusive, and quality events and activities across all demographics to build a strong sense of community and positive experience.

    About Us

    The Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for providing programs, activities, safe parks, and special events to the citizens and visitors of Swansboro. There are seven park facilities; including community, waterfront, and neighborhood parks. Functional areas within the department include the director, program supervisor, parks and recreation maintenance technician, recreation assistant, and event attendants. Revenue collections to include but not limited to: room rentals, fitness room memberships, park rentals, and program fees.
