Mission
The mission of the County of San Diego Long Term Care Ombudsman Program is to advocate for dignity, quality of life, and quality of care for all resident in long term care facilities.
About Us
The Ombudsman program is a volunteer program that investigates and resolves complaints of residents residing in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Ombudsman are a regular presence in the facilities and investigate issues of elder abuse. Their primary focus is to be a resident advocate, advocating with the facility, to ensure that a resident's rights and safety are protected.
