Public Scholarship & Engagement (PSE) is an academic unit within the Office of the Provost, under the direction of the Vice Provost of Public Scholarship. The PSE works collaboratively with the university’s ten colleges and schools, other university-wide units, centers and institutes, as well with non-university groups. PSE’s overall vision is to cultivate and foster a culture of engagement that rewards and recognizes public scholarship in research, teaching, and service that upholds UC Davis’ land-grant mission to serve the public good. One of PSE’s primary goals is to increase mutually beneficial community engagement and public impact.
