Volunteer Park Ranger Program

It is an opportunity for the general public (Colombians and foreigners) to do voluntary work in the areas protected by the Colombian System of National Natural Parks. The service can be provided for a minimum of one month and up to six months at a time.

Being a Volunteer Park Ranger is an educational life experience that can generate consciousness and understanding of the biological and cultural diversity of Colombia.

The Volunteer Park Ranger Program aims at transcending frontiers, ideologies, religions, cultures, ethnicities as well as social and economic divisions.

The program was created to harness people’s desire to contribute to the country with their knowledge, abilities and qualities. It fosters an exercise in cohabitation and solidarity whose goal is to contribute to peace processes and also to create consciousness regarding the urgent need to preserve the ecosystems of the Nation.

Participating in the Program gives you an opportunity to get to know Colombia’s natural and cultural wealth and the way in which it approaches and deals with issues of conservation and the importance of its natural resources.
