About Us

The Center for Public and Nonprofit Management (CPNM) at the University of Central Florida is a recognized academic center that utilizes collaborative partnerships between faculty members, students and community members to improve the understanding and practice of public and nonprofit management through research, teaching and service.We serve the public and nonprofit sectors' research, education and service needs in the Central Florida community and beyond.

The mission of the Center for Public and Nonprofit Management at the University of Central Florida is to strengthen communities through relevant research by faculty and students and through capacity building services to public and nonprofit organizations.

We are the hosts of a significant AmeriCorp VISTA project in Central Florida in partnership with school districts, homeless shelters, and faith-based organizations.The program, over three years, represents an approximately million dollar investment from the Corporation for National and Community Service to build the capacity of organizations in the region to better serve homeless students and improve outcomes for those students.
