  • About Us

The Center for Service-Learning was established in 1998 to connect faculty and students to service opportunities with community partners from local and international non-profit organizations, as well as public and private schools. The Center for Service-Learning works as a liaison for faculty, students, and community partners to add value to classroom teaching and learning at Western Washington University while addressing real community needs. In addition to providing support for service-learning courses, the Center works directly with students to connect them to the community, whether through one-time service events, ongoing volunteer opportunities, or in other capacities outside of service-learning.
