The Center for Health Care Quality (CHCQ) is the largest center within CDPH with over 1,300 employees in 14 District Offices across all 58 California counties, and also supervises LA County enforcement efforts. It is responsible for regulatory oversight of licensed health care facilities and health care professionals to provide safe, effective, and quality health care for all Californians. CHCQ fulfills this role by conducting periodic inspections and complaint investigations of health care facilities to oversee compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
