San Mateo County Office of Education

At SMCOE, we are dedicated to serving our county's 23 school districts in a shared mission to provide an excellent educational experience for the more than 94,000 students in the county. School districts are focused on implementing their Local Control and Accountability Plans (LCAP), and SMCOE is working alongside them to support the work. We continue to help our teachers deepen content knowledge, hone instructional skills, and pursue innovation to realize positive student outcomes. These are exhilarating, if challenging times, but the San Mateo County Office of Education is excited and proud to work alongside our education and community partners in ensuring all our county’s students are well prepared to meet the demands of today’s fast-paced, global society.
