    The 20th Circuit Guardian ad Litem Program supports volunteers who advocate for abused, neglected and abandoned children in court, the child welfare system and the community, within Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties in Florida. Volunteers advocate for children in their home counties, with staff support. In other states, this Program is called CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). Volunteers must* Be Florida residents

    • Be at least 21 years-old
    • Pass a background check
    • Attend free training
    • Have 8-10 hours available monthly
    • Be in charge of their own time and schedules
