    Make a difference in the lives of residents in long-term care settings by becoming a Certified Long-Term Care Ombuds! CERTIFICATION TRAINING IS FREE! Our Certified Volunteer Ombuds come from all walks of life, various age groups, ethnic background and educational levels. The common thread is an interest in serving older adults and persons with disabilities. "Ensuring the rights, dignity, and well-being of individuals living in long-term care today and tomorrow."

    About Us

    The King County Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program advocates for residents of nursing homes, adult family homes, and assisted living facilities. Our purpose is to protect and promote the Resident Rights guaranteed these residents under Federal and State law. We are trained to receive complaints and resolve problems in situations involving quality of care, use of restraints, transfer and discharge, and other aspects of resident dignity and rights.
