MassDOT oversees roads, public transit, aeronautics, and transportation licensing and registration in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The department consists of the Highway Division, Registry of Motor Vehicles, Aeronautics Division and Rail & Transit Division. Our mission is to deliver excellent customer service to people who travel in the Commonwealth, and to provide our nation's safest and most reliable transportation system in a way that strengthens our economy and quality of life.
