    The Family Welfare Research and Training Group at the University of Maryland, School of Social Work aims to study and understand the circumstances of low-income families who receive public benefits in Maryland, to assess the outcomes of programs meant to assist poor families, and to provide ongoing empirical data to elected and appointed officials about what works and what doesn’t.
