Brighton/Commerce City Police Department Victim Services Unit

  • Mission

Brighton and Commerce City Victim Advocates are here to provide information, support, referrals, comfort, compassion, and caring to crime victim and their families.

    About Us

In 2014, the City of Brighton and Commerce City merged Victim Services Units to increase services offered to victims. The newly-established Victim Services Unit was combined though a cooperative effort, working with staff from both municipalities, obtaining city council’s approval, and gaining support from the program's volunteer victim advocates. The Brighton and Commerce City Victim Services Unit is administrated out of the Brighton Police Department, 3401 E Bromley LN, Brighton, CO 80601. However, staff is located at the Commerce City Police Department, 7887 E 60th Ave, Commerce City, CO 80022, as well to serve victims at both locations. Both agencies are You Have Options program participants. You Have Options is a victim-centered, offender-focused sexual assault reporting program that offers reporting and investigative options that can be customized to the victim’s unique circumstances.
