Community Action Agency of Montgomery County

Community Action Agency's mission is to reduce poverty and increase self-sufficiency among residents through services, partnerships, and advocacy. The Community Action Agency is part of the Department of Health and Human Services in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Community Action Agency meets the needs of Montgomery County residents with low-to-moderate income. Services are provided through the VITA (tax assistance) Program, Head Start (early education), and partnerships with local nonprofit organizations. Volunteers are essential to the year-round operations of the Agency.
