  • About Us

OUR MISSION: To preserve, protect and restore Delaware's Inland Bays...the water that flows into them...and the watershed around them. In 1988, the Delaware Inland Bays were declared 'an estuary of national significance' by the U.S. Congress and in 1994, the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays was established as one of 28 National Estuary Programs. Today, the CIB, with its many partners, conducts scientific research and restoration, provides public outreach and education, and more.
