DuPage Care Center

  • About Us

The DuPage Care Center (formerly known as The DuPage Convalescent Center) was originally built in 1888 as the DuPage County Alms Farm to serve the indigent. Today, the facility provides Long-Term Care and Short-Term Rehabilitative Care to individuals needing support with their activities of daily living. The DuPage Care Center is licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

In 2016, the DuPage Convalescent Center was renamed the Kenneth Moy DuPage Care Center after receiving a $2 Million donation from Kenneth "Ken" Moy. Ken Moy became the first Asian-American elected to county government in the state of Illinois when he won a seat on the DuPage County Board in 1984. Ken Moy had a deep desire to help seniors and disabled adults as it related to his own experience with his wife, who battled Alzheimer’s Disease. Moy says he hopes his legacy would inspire others to pursue community service.
