    The Downers Grove Park District is charged with the mission to provide a wide variety of year-round recreation programs, facilities, parks, open space and natural areas that respond to the articulated needs and desires of residents.

    About Us

    The Downers Grove Park District provides the community with diverse outdoor and indoor recreation amenities including: 49 park sites on 600+ acres, 28 picnic areas and 6 picnic pavilions, 23 playgrounds, 17 lighted tennis courts, 20 baseball and 13 soccer fields, 8 basketball courts, 6 horseshoe courts, 9 holes of golf, 18 holes of miniature golf, 7 walking or nature trails, 160 acres of natural areas, 400 community garden plots, 1 bandshell, a museum of community history, a nature interpretive center.
