    The Assessor-Recorder’s Office is responsible for locating all taxable property in the City and County of San Francisco. Our mission is to accurately assess the value of the property and fairly capture the revenues owed to the City. With over 204,000 parcels in San Francisco, our office is responsible for generating 40% of the City and County’s general fund. Additionally, our office is responsible for recording legal documents, such as deeds, liens, and public marriage licenses.
