Helmetta Regional Animal Shelter is a newly established shelter in Middlesex County, dedicated to the welfare of animals through the rescue, care and placement of injured, abused, neglected and abandoned animals into permanent and loving homes. We serve as advocates for animals, and are committed to providing community service programs and educating the public about the humane treatment of animals.
Helmetta Regional Animal Shelter has a progressive philosophy apart from the typical “dog pound” attitude. We have a “low kill” policy. We do not euthanize healthy adoptable animals. “Adoption events” are held four times a week and we work with rescues and animal shelters to ensure each adoptable animal receives every opportunity to be placed in a permanent home.
Every animal at the shelter is treated with respect and care regardless of breed, age or personality.
