  • Mission

The Guardian Monitor Volunteer Program is dedicated to assisting and improving the Probate Court's monitoring practices of those appointed to serve as guardians for incapacitated individuals in DuPage County.

    About Us

The 18th Judicial Circuit Court established the Guardian Monitor Volunteer Program to train community volunteers to visit our incapacitated individuals in the ward's residence. The Volunteer's role is to observe conditions, interview the ward, their guardian and/or other caregivers; complete a standardized report that will be reviewed by the judge assigned to the probate court. This important monitoring function enables the Court to have first-hand information about the wards under its supervision.
