Granite School District (Woodrow Wilson Elementary)
Woodrow Wilson Community School is attached to the Granite School District main administrative offices, within the heart of South Salt Lake City. South Salt Lake is the hub of refugee resettlement within the state of Utah and is a tight-knit community of only 7 square miles and has a collaborative network of non-profits, city government, donors, and additional social supports working together to empower the residents. Woodrow Wilson is a vibrant elementary school serving students in grades K-6. Our students speak 32+ languages and are from a vast range of countries and cultural backgrounds. Over 90% of our students are at or below the poverty line, and about 20% of our students have entered the U.S. on refugee status.
