City of Council Bluffs Parks & Recreation

The Parks and Recreation Department is comprised of five divisions: Administrative, Parks Maintenance, Horticulture and Grounds, Recreation and Events and the Recreation Complex. We oversee the care and management of approximately 750 acres of parks and open space, including 29 parks, two aquatic centers, the River's Edge Pavilion, and our premier Recreation Complex.

Council Bluffs Parks & Recreation has developed a series of events throughout the year that reach a variety of age groups and demographics in our community. Our goal is to increase sport, recreation, and leisure opportunities that encourage healthy lifestyles, while having fun at the same time.
