    The Wyoming Humanities Council (WHC) is a 501(c)(3) organization and is the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and an active member of the National Federation of State Humanities Councils.

    We invest in people, programs, and ideas to create compelling opportunities for Wyoming to engage with history, culture, and contemporary issues.

    WHC has a staff of seven professional staff members, a number of whom are part-time, and an annual budget of $880,000. For forty years, the Wyoming Humanities Council has been the sole nonprofit public humanities organization in the state.
