Pueblo Grande Museum and Archaeological Park

About Us

Pueblo Grande Museum is located on a 1,500 year old archaeological site inhabited by the Ancestral Sonoran Desert Peoples (Hohokam). It has a trail that takes you through the prehistoric village site with a partially excavated platform mound, ballcourt, replicated prehistoric houses, and three unique galleries.

VISION STATEMENT Pueblo Grande Museum will be recognized as the gateway to the cultural history of the Phoenix area. In collaboration with our communities, we will create memorable experiences that link past to present.

MISSION STATEMENT To honor the site of Pueblo Grande as a unique community resource through sound preservation practices, engaging educational programs, and the thoughtful care and presentation of cultural materials. For all audiences, Pueblo Grande Museum will foster understanding, appreciation and respect for our shared cultural history.
