    The Community and Economic Development Department (CED) oversees all land use decisions in the unincorporated areas of Grand County and ensures that the area develops in accordance with the county's general plan.  As Grand County community expands, the department aims to guide development and economic growth in positive ways.

    The department works on a myriad of projects, including planning and zoning, engineering, land use development and permitting, economic development, code enforcement, affordable housing, storm drainage, and other long-range community planning projects.
