About Us

Severino is a Democrat running for New York City Council in District 32. She was born and raised in the district where she watched her mother as a community organizer in Dominican politics. This has inspired her to take action in her community from a young age and run for office. Severino’s top policy issues are Education, Culture and Youth, Improving the Quality of Life, Community Public Safety, and Sustainability and Environmental Justice.  If elected, she will make history as the first woman and LGBTQIA+ individual to represent District 32, the first Afro-Latinx woman with a disability in the New York City Council, and the youngest elected official in the New York City Council.
