Champaign County Nursing Home

  • Mission

Champaign County Nursing Home has been caring for our community's elders since 1953. We are owned by the county and governed by elected members of the county board. We have 243 beds and we are licensed to provide skilled and intermediate care, with a separate neighborhood for cognitively impaired individuals. It is our responsibility to provide the highest quality, comprehensive care possible to our residents through knowledge and application of sound principles using team concept and approach.

    About Us

All volunteers are required to sign a confidentiality form, go through an interview process, have a tour of our facility and get training on dealing with elders in a nursing home. Appointments required. We have very few one-time opportunities; we prefer long-term commitments. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult during volunteer hours.
