    Incorporated in 1920, the City of San Joaquin is located 35 miles west of the City of Fresno. According to the 2010 census, roughly 4,000 people live within the City limits (1 square mile). The City is dedicated to improving the quality of life for its residents by implementing a wide variety of projects and programs and strives to be a model for other rural communities in the Central Valley.
