New York City Family Justice Center, Brooklyn

About Us

New York City Family Justice Centers are walk-in centers that assist victims who live or were hurt in the Bronx, Brooklyn or Queens. This innovative program enables victims to meet with a prosecutor, speak with a trained counselor, and apply for housing and financial assistance in just one visit – all in their language while their children play safely in the next room. The New York City Family Justice Center, Brooklyn (BKFJC), an initiative of the Mayor’s Office to Combat Domestic Violence, offers coordinated services to domestic violence victims in one location. Most BKFJC personnel work for partner organizations such as nonprofit organizations and other City agencies, including the New York City Police Department, the Department of Probation, the Human Resources Administration, and the Department for the Aging, among others.
