FDA’s Center for Food Safety and Nutrition (CFSAN) is seeking two data science-orientated candidates to support the development of models and analysis to better define global food supply chains, assess risk, and determine the optimal regulatory intervention to prevent food-borne illness. Such models will support regulatory decisions on how to best deploy limited resources and maximize the impact on public health. There is a need to apply modern statistical approaches, such as data mining, machine learning and predictive analytics to analyze bigger, more complex data and deliver faster, more accurate results. We also seek more automated ways to analyze and present data visually through interactive reports and dashboards.
