Government
KanCare Ombudsman Office/State of Kansas
Mission
To support KanCare/Medicaid members in navigating the Medicaid system and to resolve problems regarding services, coverage, access and rights.
About Us
The KanCare Ombudsman office helps KanCare/Medicaid members and applicants with concerns about getting services they need through KanCare/Medicaid. The KanCare Ombudsman Volunteer Program is designed to assist the KanCare Ombudsman in serving KanCare/Medicaid members and applicants regarding their services, coverage, access and rights.
We are here to answer calls and allow consumers to consult with a live volunteer. You don’t have to be an expert on Medicaid to volunteer; you will learn as you help others. Volunteers receive, at no cost, a minimum of 30 hours training and mentoring by an experienced staff member prior to starting their service as well as continuing education.
