About Us

Young people are very much impacted by City issues, yet have the least amount of input in solving City problems. Are you an NYC high school student looking for an opportunity to participate in your City?

NYC Service provides youth ages 14-21 who are enrolled in high school or an equivalency program with the opportunity to participate in NYC Youth Leadership Councils. YLCs are hosted by City agencies, schools, and community-based organizations; members participate in meaningful youth-adult partnerships and get to work with a group of peers who are also committed to addressing issues faced by their communities. You can find a YLC in any borough, and focusing on a range of areas from a specific neighborhood to the whole City!
