About Us

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is a newly formed Federal agency established under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 (the Act). The central mission of the CFPB is to make markets for consumer financial products and services work for Americans—whether they are applying for a mortgage, choosing among credit cards, or using any number of other consumer financial products. The CFPB has jurisdiction over the largest banks in the country and thousands of other businesses offering financial products and services.

The Division of Enforcement’s mission is to aggressively and consistently enforce Federal consumer financial laws to protect consumers from harm, including by partnering with other federal and state agencies.

We are in the early days of establishing our organization and realizing our mission. This is an exciting time to join our team and have an impact on how we achieve our mission. Apply today, and be a part of helping to improve the quality of life for everyday consumers!
