    To educate the visiting public and school children about regional geology and American Indian archaeology.

    About Us

    The preserve consists of 62 acres of varied terrain. There are five miles of marked nature trails. The museum has a variety of exhibits of Long Island geology and dioramas illustrating the evolution of our landscape. Garvies Point Museum also offers wonderful exhibits featuring prehistoric Native Americans of North America and Long Island.
