Maryland Citizens Review Board For Children

  • Mission

To conduct case reviews of children in out-of-home care, make timely individual case and systemic recommendations; and advocate for legislative and systematic child welfare improvements to promote safety and permanency.

    About Us

The Citizens Review Board for Children is a federally mandated citizen review panel that provides child welfare oversight, reviews individual cases of children and youth in out-of-home placement, makes individual and systemic recommendations for improvement and provides legislative advocacy. CRBC makes recommendations to the local department of social services for the safety, well-being and permanency of children in out-of-home placement. CRBC reviews a sample of cases statewide and any requests for case reviews or concerns may be made by contacting CRBC's office.
