The University of Maryland Extension is Maryland’s premier outreach network, with expertise as near as your county office. We are recognized locally, nationally and internationally for providing accessible expert knowledge that people can use to improve their economic stability, their quality of life, and the environment in which they live. University of Maryland Extension is a statewide, non-formal education system within the college of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Here in Howard County, UME offers a variety of programs to individuals, families and community groups in areas such as 4-H youth development, nutrition and wellness, finance, gardening, agriculture and the environment.
