  • Mission

Library patrons come to the Open Computer Lab for assistance with job searches, filling out forms, educational assignments and learning basic computer skills. The majority of job applications, government forms, and career services are found online, but many community members in need have little experience with computers. The volunteer’s purpose is to make the path to self-empowerment easier for these community members by providing one-on-one technological support.

    About Us

At the Sun Ray Library, we hold an "Open Lab" 4 afternoons per week (Monday through Thursday, from 12pm-3pm). We are looking for a few volunteers to help our visitors with learning the computer skills they need to reach their goals.

We are also looking for volunteers for the Reading Together, Homework Center, and Gardening programs at the Sun Ray Library.
